Purpose ECL Western Blotting Substrate is a highly sensitive, nonradioactive, enhanced luminol-based chemiluminescent substrate for easy detection of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) on immunoblots. BioVision ECL Western Blotting Substrate offers superior signal and clear background. Blots can be repeatedly exposed to X-ray film or a CCD camera to obtain optimal results or stripped of the immunodetection reagents and re-probed. The special formulation of BioVision ECL substrate makes it ideal substitute for Amersham ECL substrate without the need for additional optimization of assay conditions.

ECL Western Blotting Substrate offers superior signal and clear background. Blots can be repeatedly exposed to X-ray film, or a CCDcamera to obtain optimal results or stripped of the immunodetection reagents and re-probed. DETECTION PROCEDURE:
1. Mix Detection Reagents A & B at a 1:1 ratio. 2. Immediately add the mixture to the blot. Use 0.125 mL working solution per cm 2 of membrane. 3. Incubate the blot for about 1 minute at room temperature. 4. Drain excess reagents. 5. Cover blot with a clear plastic sheet protector or clear plastic wrap. 6. Expose blot to X-ray film.
