Characteristics TBS with Tween 20 (20x) is for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques as a wash buffer. Tween 20 is added to promote more effective washings, resulting in decreased non-specific background staining. Tween 20 is also known to promote reagent spreading in automated staining methodologies.
Protocol 1. Dilute the TBS/Tween 1:20 with deionized water. Example: 1 liter of concentrate diluted in 19 liters of deionized water.
2. Use as wash buffer in a standard IHC protocol. NOTE: It has been found that at temperatures below 10°C, the salts fall out of solution. If this occurs during your shipment, bring the product to room temperature and stir the product to get the salts back into solution.

Precaution of Use 1. Take reasonable precautions when handling reagents. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
2. Avoid contact of reagents with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. If reagents come into contact with sensitive areas, wash with copious amounts of water.
3. Consult local or state authorities with regard to recommended method of disposal.
4. Avoid microbial contamination of reagents.
Storage RT
Storage Comment The user must validate any other storage conditions. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date.
